Perhaps. The truth is, when I first sat down to brainstorm what my business might look like, I thought a lot about who I am at my core. In doing so, I realized that the version of me which exists today has only been made possible by the unconditional love and boundless joy my sweet gal, Clover, emulates on the daily. She has taught me to be patient, kind, mindful, and unapologetically me. I am a firm believer that we'll never fully deserve dogs. They're absolute magic. Chances are, I'll be editing your photos with a dog draped across my lap!
Existing somewhere in that sweet spot between total fly-on-the-wall and the JCPenney photographer your parents took you to in the early 2000s. Kind of like if documentary and editorial had a baby. A candid look with a guided approach. I’m big on movement, emotion, and artistry. My purpose as your photographer is far more than to just show up and take the pictures. Breaking down that "I don't know how to act in front of a camera" belief is my primary goal and one of my greatest joys.
I've been in the wedding industry since its post-lockdown rebirth! I went to college for design and photography, fully expecting to use the design part the most. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with the way that "design" is in everything, and my outlet for expressing that sentiment became my camera. As my camera and I became more acquainted, I started introducing humans into the equation! That snowballed into becoming the career of my dreams. I often think about how lucky I am to have a job that allows me to immortalize memories and allow people to feel truly seen and absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing.
I’m usually still taking pictures. Open my camera roll and you’ll find pictures of cool plants, books I want to read, lattes I enjoyed drinking, trips I’ve been on with my partner, delicious vegetarian food—especially loaves of bread I’ve made—and of course, Miss Clover. I’m also a pianist! Catch me fawning over the skill of your wedding musicians.
